Description:
In the Valley of Vizze, set in the mountains of Trentino Alto Adige, a dredging operation is carried out with a hydraulic DRAGFLOW pump model HY85/160HC, equipped with two side cutters EXHY35.
The problem
The dam of the Vizze River, built in 1927, forms a small lake known as Lake Novale. The river transports sediments that settle down to the bottom of the lake.
The customer needs to remove 35,000 cubic meters of material in a simple and effective way to control the accumulation of sediments and maintain the capacity of the small basin.
The solution
Given the limited depth (5m) of the lake and the small size of the construction, the best solution was to use one Dragflow pump model HY85/160HC, hanging from a crane, so they can move it all over the dam, in order to effectively remove the sediments. The two side cutters help with the lift of the material up to the suction of the pump
The removed material is discharged through a pipeline into a storage tank located 400 meters away.
