Project Description

The problem
In a renowned coastal town in Southern Italy, the accumulation of sediments threatened the capacity of a small marina. Because of the progressive silting up, the number of boats that could be hosted was constantly decreasing. A serious problem since the resort was experiencing an interesting phase of tourist development and more and more boats required access to the marina.

Our solution
We provided a DRP18 remote controlled dredge: the smallest and most manageable model in this serie. The DRP18 is able to operate effectivelly in very narrow spaces, where other larger pontoons cannot reach.
This small dredge, equipped with a 12.5S electric pump, can be used at regular intervals to cope with the silting. In addition, it will be able to carry out restorative work like beach nourishment in the neighboring beaches.
